A5 monthly planner inserts

I'll admit, I've been spoiled the last two years with my Russel and Hazel monthly tabbed inserts. I was about to place an order for 2016 when it dawned on me that I could finally create my own version, with all the features I loved!

What I love about the Russel and Hazel inserts:
* Thick, sturdy cardstock (no worries when stamping, no bleed thru)
* They are not back-to-back. I like including my Weekly inserts in-between the months.
* LOVED the laminated tabs on the side
* Clean, simple aesthetic

What I didn't love about the Russel and Hazel inserts:
* Required trimming and punching to fit into my A5 Filofax / Kikki K large (easy to do, but nonetheless not ready to go out of package)
* Sunday-start didn't match up with my Weekly inserts
* I didn't need the notes section, and prefer larger boxes for each day instead

I'm all about personalizing your planner to make it work for YOU, and in this video I share how I finally realize I can create my very own sturdy Monthly inserts WITH TABS!!

Check out my Monthly Inserts HERE in my etsy shop.

  1. Totally in stalker mode, but would love to know your tips and tricks! Bought your digital download. Need to grab some paper, but when printing on the 8.5x11 paper does this mean it isn't true A5 size?

  2. Hi Kia!
    I recommend trimming the letter size paper down to A5, then printing. I have a video with my process on YT if you want to check it out. I also cheat and buy A5 paper from Kiddy Qualia on etsy. They sell 32# which is nice and thick! 😄

  4. I'd LOVE to see your inserts in a Sunday start option! For me they are PERFECT other than that ;). BEAUTIFUL design!
